Tips to Recovering Deleted Text Messages
As soon as cell phone memory becomes filled up, you are going to need to delete text messages and/or other stored information. Whether you purposely delete all of them or accidentally delete a specific group of text messages, you may delete something you did not mean to. Fortunately, there are ways you can go about recovering deleted text messages.
There is a gadget on the market that is called a Cell Phone Spy. While this can help you retrieve messages that you have deleted in the past, it only works for certain types of phones. If your phone does not apply to this gadget, you will need to look elsewhere.
How the Cell Phone Spy works is by removing the SIM card from your phone and placing it in a SIM card reader. The reader then plugs into a computer and all of your data is transferred onto the computer. The downside to this technique is that some phones do not save certain data to the SIM card. If the deleted text messages you are looking for were not saved to the SIM card, you are out of luck.
The next method worth trying out is memory software. There are software programs out there that can be loaded to your cell phone. As you text and receive text messages, the texts are recorded and stored. If you are hoping to retrieve a certain message that you have deleted, the software allows you to quickly recover the message without any problems.
The downside to memory software is that it typically will only recall messages for the last 10 to 20 text messages. If you are hoping to retrieve something from a few weeks prior, you are probably going to have a hard time doing so.
The last thing to keep in mind is carriers. It is important you do not fall for the myth that carriers can recover or store text messages. They do have the ability to retrieve the basic record of the text message, but the contents of the message itself are not recalled. What his means is you will be able to find out the phone number of the sender and receiver, the date, and the time of the message. However, you will not be able to see what the actual message said.
There are ways that you can go about retrieving deleted text messages. You just need to research and find the most appropriate method for you. These are just a few of the many ways you may be able to find the message you are looking for.
