iPod battery losing battery too quickly?

So my iPod keeps losing it's battery 3 times faster than usual. I got it about a year ago and it's 1st gen. I hacked it and restored it 5 months later and updated the software to 3.1.2 but it was freedor some reason… Or also says the % of battery I have which I think is only on the iPhone firmware… Did I install that somehow? But andway I updated it and hacked it with a different system blackrain and after a while I got this weird crack down the lower part of the screen it's internal and gray and changes apperance and color every day pretty much. Then about a week later the battery started dying really fast. I restored it again and still I have this problem… Can you guys help me out?? Thanks
Sean

Answer:

OK so you went against what Apple says

you wiped the native OS twice

you installed a 3rd party OS

and now something went wrong, are you seriously shocked?

there's a reason why Apple tells users not to jailbreak and I hope you've learned your lesson. best advice is to go out and get a new iPod or just deal with your current situation

on the apple site it clearly sais batteries do not last for ever. i have a jailbroken ipod touch that has nothin to do with it. you just wore out your battery check out on replacing it. (i recently did wut u did and rejailbroke with blackrain) i found mine actually works better and faster with this new jailbreak

WOW,wicked problem, you can't go to apple for help 'cos you voided your warranty when you jailbroke it.so go and buy a new ipod or don't do the crime if u can't do the time…hehe..

  3. IPod Battery Extender says:

try ImaxPower IMP 500 this will get your more than expected batter life for your IPod at very reasonable price..
