Can Apple tell I hacked my iPhone?
A while back I hacked my iphone with some program called black rain… I took it off though cause I didn't really like it. But lately my phone has been acting up. It'll freeze up then when I go to reset it, I'll turn it back on and it won't go past the apple screen. Then it won't show up on my computer when I plug it in. This has happened and it wouldn't turn on for hours before. Plus, whenever I download an application or song on my phone it freezes up and starts going all slow and now applications will open. Will Apple be willing to fix this for me? If they take it apart and look at it will they be able to tell I had it hacked before?
Answer:
If you want to go to Apple to fix it, you should restore the original firmware first, so they wouldn't know that it has been jailbroken. http://iphoners.org/howto-update-iphone-software-shift-restore/
Before you bring it to iPhone, try to restore, jailbreak, and setup as new iPhone (without backup previous data). If iTunes cannot detect your iPhone, try it in DFU mode — http://iphoners.org/iphone-dfu-mode-how/ — or try another computer.
