Works great but a little bulky

I bought mine as a backup for when I'm someplace without power plug-in availability for my iPhone. I've used it multiple times and each time it worked great. I just charge it and keep it in my back-pack. Then on the days when I really need it because my battery is low then I attach to my iPhone. It is cool to have the iPhone show it is charging even when it is in my pocket. Attaching to the iphone is very easy you just slide the iPhone down into the case. Taking it out is the reverse procedure and is quick as well. I haven't had any problems with the iPhone accidentally disengaging from the case or anything like that.

You can buy different designs for these batter extenders. Either one designed as a case like this one or as a separate unit that you only attach to recharge you iPhone. The ones made as a case will always make your iPhone bulkier because the battery is built into the case. I can live with that issue for the times when I need the extra battery life and I like that it still fits in my pocket. I wouldn't keep my iPhone inserted into this unit all the time because I normally can make it a whole day on a regular charge with my iPhone and the extra bulk isn't worth it. But I will say for those times where I wasn't near any USB or A/C power, having this unit really saved me.

So, for casual use I can really recommend it.

BTW, I haven't noticed any signal loss issues when using it although I haven't specifically tested for it. If it did cause me a signal loss problem then I'd probably just take the iPhone out of the case during my phone call and the slip it back in when I was done talking. It comes off and on very fast so that wouldn't be an issue. Like I said before my iPhone still fits in my pocket when attached so that is how I keep it when it is charging so if there was a lower signal loss I wouldn't notice it until I need to talk on the phone. I've noticed that text messages can arrive with a very low signal so that shouldn't be a problem.

I should also note that the case is glossy and a little slick. This unit does have little bumps on the side of the case to help give a little grip so I haven't had any problems holding onto it but I do prefer my normal case which provides more grip.
Not Good

Phone tends to not consistently charge when in the device. I cant put this in my pocket and walk around with it. I would recommend spending a few more dollars and buying a better quality device.
Works as advertised but case is a little slippery

I'd have given it 5 stars if I didn't also have a Blue Storm which looks almost the same but has a case with more grip, a nice on/off switch, and 4 lights to indicate level of charge left.
reduce iphone reception

as the other reviewer has noted, this cover will cause the cell signal reception to drop. In my office, with the cover on I am getting almost no reception, but once the cover is off, signal is at 3 - 4 bar, so I guess unless you're in a place with great reception, I wont recommend it
