The Bluetooth Hands Free Fm Transmitter provides a live full duplex communication solution. It uses Bluetooth technology through FM transmission to your FM car radio. This unit allows you to speak to callers through a built-in DSP microphone (it turns your car stereo into a Giant Bluetooth Headset). All of this is accomplished hassle free without the use of external wires, or expensive custom installation. The device is pairable with any phone equipped with Bluetooth hands-free and stereo A2DP function. Bluetooth A2DP technology enables wireless transmission of music from your iPhone 3Gs and 3G (OS 3.0 Software Update required). With the Bluetooth Hands-free Fm Transmitter you are ready to listen to your favorite tunes without any wire connection!
  • Compatibility: iPhone 4, 3Gs & 3G and all Bluetooth enabled phones for wireless audio streaming and hands-free calling
  • Live, full duplex communication solution: speak and listen at the same time - DSP to cancel echo and reduce ambient noise.
  • USB port: Charge USB powered devices, including iPhone 3Gs & 3G, iPod, cell phones, MP3 players, and more.
  • Line out: Allows for direct connection from the device to the Aux port in your car without the need of Fm Transmission.
  • Line-in: Auxiliary Line-in jack to connect other audio devices, including MP3 player, CD player, portable DVD player, PC, laptop, etc.

Easy alternative to re-wiring

This item performs as advertised. I have a Honda Ridgeline and it didn't come with mp3 input - it's an '06 - and I have considered getting one of the line-in setups, but they are much more expensive and weren't immediately compatible with the iPhone 4 software. We were going on a road trip and decided to get this one based on the features and reviews. The wireless music over Bluetooth works great, but the volume is much louder when you plug in directly to the unit. I get static once in a while and just bump one station up to solve the problem. Charging is also supported through USB cable but I haven't used it yet. The unit is a little tricky to get used to - for example, if you're on a call and get into the car, the call will start to play through the unit, but you can always switch back on the phone itself. Really happy with this purchase!
Just works!

I've been looking for this functionality for years!
Works exactly as would be expected. It's tidy, it sounds good, so easy to use; you never need to even touch it. Very easy set up, then just do everything via your phone. On my iPhone, anything I'm playing automatically goes the car speakers when I start the car. AirTunes for your car. Hands free works very well too.

I read all the reviews on this product so I called them up. The person I talked to about the technical aspects of the Hands-free FM transmitter was very helpful in making sure I got the correct product. I read things on the internet about complaints as to the brightness at night, an issue around 2005 if I recall correctly. I was assured that problem was fixed. From the excellent comments I read about their customer service I had no reason to doubt their representatives word. I purchased this product after talking with him. I am very happy and am also confident that they will help me, if needed, in the future. I wish all companies were as helpful as these people have been to me. The product works as expected and even a little easier to use than I thought. It is compact and not intrusive.
Makes listening to an iPhone through your car's sound system a breeze

It took me a bit of toggling to find a channel with minimal interference, but once I did, audio playback was smooth and wonderful. The microphone doesn't pick up noise well enough to use in place of the phone's unless your car's setup allows for you to have the device positioned very close to your face, but I don't mind. Definitely worth the purchase.
